Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, her passion for music began early, nurtured by her family's musical prowess and encouragement. As Raquel grew older, her passion for music intensified. She delved into pop, jazz, country, blues, and R&B records, finding inspiration in the iconic styles of legends like Corinne Bailey Rae, Sade, Nancy Wilson, Aretha Franklin, Miranda Lambert, Sarah Vaughan, Oscar Peterson, Joni Mitchell, Mary J. Blige, Phoebe Snow, Janis Ian, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt, and Tommy Sims. These influences would later shape her unique style and sound and help her develop a deep reverence for various genres.

Now, she weaves raw emotion into thought-provoking compositions that explore love, creativity, and self-discovery.
